Tank Cleaning

When was your rainwater cleaned last?

Most people we speak to claim they have never had their rainwater tank cleaned, and claim the water comes out fine; just slightly tinted in colour or with a slight eucalyptus taste.

When we clean their rainwater tank they soon change their opinion!

What happens over time is that leaves and debris enter the tank and begin to de-compose like compost on the bottom of the tank, turning the water a dark coffee colour. This, in turn, greatly affects the drinking quality and health factor of the water.

Before and After

If there are no leaf filters and water-first flush diverters fitted to the inlet of the rainwater tank, many things commonly enter the tank such as:

Millipedes, spiders, snails, rats, mice, birds, feathers, moss, dirt, leaves and even possums!
